Ram 1500 Named Texas Truck of the Year as Chrysler Group Dominates

Chrysler Group took home 15 of 24 awards from the 21st Annual Nevada Truck Rodeo this week in Las Vegas. The two-day competition presided over by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) involved on- and off-road evaluations of some 63 pickup, SUV and crossover vehicles. Evaluations involved vehicle capabilities, design, utility, value, and technology.

Automakers often view Nevada as an important sales and marketing battleground for their trucks and SUVs, and as an important indicator of how they’ll fare in those segments nationwide.

“The Ram, Jeep, and Dodge brands from Chrysler Group clearly impressed our TAWA members at this year’s event,” TAWA President Michael Marrs said in a news release. “There’s no doubt that innovative technologies are paying off for these brands.”
